About the Camps:

Mission Statement
Alcala Soccer camps have been serving the community since 1996
and have earned an outstanding reputation for their exceptional
instruction and first-rate staff. The goal of Alcala Soccer is
to develop players in their understanding, ability, and
enthusiasm for the game through training programs that emphasize
skill development. We welcome players of all ages
and playing abilities who love the game of soccer and like to
have fun during the learning process. At Alcala Soccer we strive
to provide progressive soccer instruction in a safe and positive
soccer environment where the player gains confidence and
improves as a soccer player.
Training Philosophy and Structure of Camp
Alcala Soccer’s mission is to train players of all abilities
using a method of instruction that centers on the technical,
tactical, and mental aspects of the game while encouraging the
imagination and creativity of the player. Our goal is to create
a positive training environment where the player gains
confidence with their current level of play and ability, and is
therefore motivated and open to learning new skills and
concepts. Instruction centers on players learning through
various soccer demonstrations, technical development drills, and
small sided games and scrimmages. A circuit training system is
used to maximize time availability as players are instructed in
specialized skill building drills and exercises.
Small Group Instruction
Alcala Soccer focuses on small group instruction with an average
ratio of 1 coach per 8 players. All players are appropriately
grouped by age and playing ability.
Three levels of instruction
-
Level 1 (Foot Skills Development Program)
-
Level 2 (Select and Competitive Program)
-
Lil Amigos (Beginners Program)
Striker Camp
The purpose of the Striker Camp is to teach players how
to strike the ball successfully so that they can be more
effective goal scorers and have overall better shooting
technique. Various drills and shooting exercises will be
implemented to teach the player how to shoot from angles,
restricted space, and various pressure situations. Players will
be instructed through various simulated goal scoring shooting
exercises and shooting small sided games scrimmages.
